South Africa’s premier DIY Industry Awards were held at the Midrand Conference Centre on the 7th of November 2018. The event hosted the industry’s top guns and was a hive of activity.

This year’s awards involved a combination of a DIY & Industrial Trade News scorecard combined with industry votes made on the publication’s website www.diytradenews.co.za. The combined score achieved added to the votes cast by members of the industry resulted in the Top three companies in each category.

This year the voting from members of the industry exceeded expectations. “We are humbled by the industry’s involvement in our day to honour the best in our industry. It is a small gesture from our brand, to honour the incredible work these companies deliver daily to the South African DIY Industry,” said Johann Gerber, Publisher, DIY & Industrial Trade News.

The 2019 event is already being planned, with a tweak here and there to allow an even better system to crown South Africa’s leading companies. The list of categories along with the structure of the 2019 scorcard will be featured in the publication’s February edition.
