The annual SAICE Bridge Building event was held at Canal Walk on Saturday, 7 May, with Brackenfell High taking first and second place.

A message from the organisers:
Thank you so much for the support you and your team provided to us for the SAICE-WC Model Bridge Building competition on Saturday 7 May 2016.

We had 30 teams competing and there was a wide range of innovative bridge designs to meet the new and tricky criteria imposed by the judges. The more experienced schools demonstrated their bridge building capabilities and the winning bridge carried 175kg while it only weighted 176g!.

1st Place: Brackenfell 1
2nd Place: Brackenfell 2
3rd Place: Swartland
